Common questions about tendering, contracts, safety, registrations, and working with Buildora. If your question isn't answered here, our team will respond within one working day.
Tendering & procurement
How do I invite Buildora to tender?
Send your tender documents or a short project brief through our project enquiry form, or email the estimating department. We acknowledge every enquiry within one working day and confirm our bid / no-bid decision within three working days.
Can you provide a pre-qualification (PQ) pack?
Yes. Our standard PQ pack includes company profile, trade licences and registrations, ISO certificates, audited financial summary, bonding capacity, HSE statistics, organisation chart, and project references. We can complete client-specific PQ questionnaires within five working days.
What size of project do you take on?
Our main-contracting projects typically range from USD 10m to USD 250m. We also undertake fit-out and refurbishment from around USD 2m for existing clients, and joint ventures for larger infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
Do you offer early contractor involvement (ECI)?
Yes. We regularly work under two-stage tendering, providing buildability, value-engineering, logistics, and programme input during design before agreeing a lump-sum price for the second stage.
Contracts & commercial
Which forms of contract do you accept?
FIDIC 1999 and 2017 Red, Yellow, and Silver Books are the most common, along with the FIDIC MDB Harmonised Edition on DFI-funded projects in Africa, NEC4, and employers' bespoke forms with agreed amendments.
What bonds and guarantees can you provide?
Tender bonds, performance bonds (typically 10% of contract value), advance payment guarantees, and retention bonds, issued through our regional banking partners in each country of operation.
How do you manage variations?
Every instruction is logged, assessed for cost and time impact, and submitted as a variation proposal before work proceeds unless the employer instructs otherwise in writing. A live change register is shared with the employer's representative.
What insurances do you hold?
Contractor's all-risk, third-party liability, employer's liability / workers' compensation, professional indemnity for design-and-build work, and plant insurance. Certificates are provided with every PQ submission.
Safety, quality & sustainability
What are your current safety statistics?
For FY2025 our group-wide Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate was 0.04 and our Total Recordable Injury Rate 0.18, both per 200,000 hours worked and including subcontractors. We have recorded 38 million safe man-hours since 2014.
Which management-system certifications do you hold?
ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environment), and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety), plus ISO 19650 for BIM information management. All are audited annually by an accredited third-party certification body.
Can you deliver projects to green-building ratings?
Yes. We have GSAS, Estidama, and LEED accredited professionals in every region and have delivered projects rated under GSAS Design & Build, Estidama Pearl, and LEED.
How do you protect workers in summer heat?
Every Gulf site operates a heat-stress management plan using hourly WBGT monitoring, enforced work-rest cycles, acclimatisation for new arrivals, and re-sequencing of exposed work. Regional midday work bans are treated as a minimum.

In which countries do you operate?
We have locally registered entities in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Rwanda, and deliver selected projects for existing clients elsewhere in the GCC and East Africa.
